All I Ever Wanted Was The Truth

My eyes are gone
I'm filled with disease
The situation bleak
Strong overpower the weak
Queen cries "off with their heads"
she will soon pay her debts
And when I find my eyes, I'll know the truth about me
And when I find my eyes, I'll know how weak I am
Lies
Lies
Lies
Lies
What did you give to me
What did you give that I didn't already have
And what did you take
Everything and more
And why was I so blinded those eyes oh so blue
And I fell so easily at your throne
Not trusting but thinking that they
Told me that you would take it all from me but
I just wanted something that I could hold onto for the rest of my days
And you, you took everything
And then you asked for more
But now, I know the truth
And as I walk out into the night like a scared child hoping you'll save me
I outstretch my hand and you pull away
And I get up running
Scraped knees and skinned soul
And I begin to chase you
Hoping I can catch you
And save myself in the process
But all these times
And all these lies
And all these things without my eyes
I look at myself
And I ask why
And I ask myself why
And I ask why
And I ask why
And I ask why
Did I really have these eyes the whole time
Right
In front of me
'Cause I was blinded by you
But now
Now I know
The truth
Is right in front of me
Yeah, I can see
I can see

See You Tomorrow

Sometimes I think of you
See you tomorrow
Never came true
Gave up so soon
We're all missing you
And it feels so cold without you here
We all died a bit that year
Thinking back it all seemed okay
What was it that gave your light away
And Don't think
Don't think that we don't want you back
And I try to think of the day
But all I remember is your smile
The last words you spoke to me, they were, "see you tomorrow"
But that day never came
And I wish I had just one more hour to tell you
How we feel
And we'll miss you
And I don't think I can make it alone
And I don't think I can do this on my own
And I don't think I can make it alone
And I'll never forget her name
No, I'll never forget your name
Susan
Susan
I miss you
Susan
Susan
We miss you

Fuse

A box inside a box inside a box
someone is always taking it from or giving it to somebody else
and when your boss at work says
"great job son, come back on Monday and we'll have more work for ya"
and around the corner he takes credit for the work that you do
but no longer will the cart go before the horse
or the mule have to work for the farmer who harnesses him up everyday
feeding his greed
always needing more
never ending
never ending
never ending

And rebellion is snuffed out
and education considered a nuisance
but no longer will you get away with these things
I will be thanked for the work that I do
and you will be punished for your crimes
and finally, we will all join together
in one united line
walking down the path to a better tomorrow
all of us: walking, striving, surviving
and up ahead we see you
and as we throw the harnesses off our backs
we throw you by the wayside
each of us realizing that we never really needed you in the first place

And I will not bow down
and I will never surrender
and I will not bow down
'cause I will never surrender
One fist to raise
two eyes to see your death
two feet to walk the path less traveled
one mind to think clearly
my heart beats with the rhythm of revolution

Osmosis

Seratonin dreams
Sing me to sleep again
Cold, confronted, naked
When will it all end
Embrace this fear
The light sucked out of it
All leading up to your death
This mind, this body, this soul, is empty and giving in again
And all I wanted was something to set me free
Again
 But now
But now
I'm giving in
And giving in
I'm giving in

Crutch

You live this life like it's over
Never tried to be what you wanted to
I won't live like that
I will not allow myself to be defeated by anything
Not even death will break my endeavors
Because I see that you are broken
And I will never become a slogan
Because I am poetry in motion
Oh no, don't stop
This game is not over
Would you like me to take your place
I would gladly and save those along the way
And if you are lucky
I will save you on the way back
'Cause I will not give up
And I don't need this crutch
